Honoring 33 Years of Service

After turning 75 last October, Bruce Rankin announced his retirement after 33 years of leading Westside Food Bank. We created the Bruce Rankin Sustainability Fund in his honor to preserve his legacy and ensure the long-term sustainability of our hunger relief work. The Fund will support the implementation of goals and initiatives detailed in our Strategic Plan, designed to build our capacity and ensure that Westside Food Bank is able to serve the community for as long as there is a need. Please join us in honoring Bruce’s commitment to service with your gift to the Bruce Rankin Sustainability Fund.

Please Share a Memory

Do you have a story about Bruce? Please share it in the comments section of the donation form. (The box will expand to accommodate your message.) Or, email a note, a voice memo, and/or a photo to WSFB’s Development Associate, Crissi Avila. Please let us know if we can share your remembrance in a public tribute or if you prefer that we convey it to Bruce privately. Additionally you can donate $100 to have a page in the Tribute Book honoring Bruce Rankin.

Your support in Bruce’s honor allows us to continue his legacy of service. Thank you.

Passing the Torch

Bruce couldn’t be happier that WSFB’s Deputy Director, Genevieve Riutort, will be his successor. Genevieve and Bruce have worked closely together for the last eighteen years to strengthen WSFB’s capacity to serve the community and are pictured together above at Genevieve’s first Hunger Walk back in 2004.
